News from Llandudno, North Wales, the new home of Kirk Andrews Art

Four months on from our relocation to Llandudno, North Wales and Kirk Andrews Art has hit the ground running.
The logistics of moving the contents of two houses and the art studio was a challenge but it went according to plan.

I was sad to say goodbye to the staff and fellow artisans at The Red House Glass Cone   where my art studio and gallery had been based for eight years but it is incredibly exciting to have new creative ideas and challenges for my art in our new seaside home.

I have been inspired by the location and have already created four new pieces each in Indian ink and pastel. I have completed my first commission and have a second ready to start.

There is a buzzing arts and crafts scene happening here and I have entered a new seascape into a local art exhibition in the Conwy Valley and I currently have my Kurt Cobain charcoal portrait hanging in the fantastic Ink. Gallery in Colwyn Bay.

I am feeling inspired by the breathtakingly beautiful, rugged countryside including having Conwy mountain and Snowdonia on our doorstep.

Watch this space and I will keep you updated on my new journey.
